Marco Ellman, President
Marco has been working in commercial real estate as both a broker and a consultant since the mid ‘80’s. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the State University of New York, while minoring in Economics and Psychology, and also studied International Business at the University of Copenhagen in Denmark.
A ten year stint working for a midsized New York Commercial real estate company culminated with job offers from the largest real estate companies in Manhattan.
However, as the industry had changed such that firms no longer needed internal listing department, Marco realized he could more fully focus and respond to the needs of the tenants he represented by forming his own boutique firm, rather than remain within the regimented corporate structure of a larger real estate company.
Evan M. Jaffee, Senior Advisor
Evan believes that Tenant satisfaction is what the business is all about and he will knock himself out pounding the pavement until he gets you what you want. If he had a motto it would read "Bring on the difficult requirements. I get a true sense of satisfaction every time I complete the most challenging of requirements and make all the puzzle pieces fit."
Over the past nine years Evan has successfully consummated transactions in Flatiron, Union Square, Midtown South, Chelsea, West Village, East Village, Nomad, Garment District, Financial District, Chinatown, Soho, Midtown, Upper East/West Side, Brooklyn Heights, Crown Heights, Cobble Hill, and the Bronx. Raised in Great Neck, NY, just 16 miles outside of Manhattan, Evan started in the business at an early age helping his father, a real estate developer and owner of a building management company located in Great Neck, NY with projects focused in Manhattan, Queens, and the Hamptons. Evan attended Boston University, before becoming a Manhattan resident in 2005.
Outside of real estate, Evan has a propensity towards music and the outdoors as he is an acclaimed guitarist, bassist, drummer, and singer / song-writer, as well as an avid fisherman.(Always catch and release!).
Hiro Tanaka, Advisor
Hiro, a native of Japan, proudly considers himself a true “New Yorker”. He has lived and worked in NYC for over 20 years, originally arriving in 1996 to study at Columbia University.
Hiro’s fascination with real estate started as a child, while watching his father work as an architect in Japan. Hiro has worked with residential real estate investors for nearly 10 years before joining Ellman Realty in 2016 as a commercial real estate professional.
With his unique background in Broadcast Journalism and with reporting on Japan’s major national TV networks, Hiro developed critical skills necessary to find “hidden behind the scenes stories”, acquired only through investigative legwork. These skills are an essential tool and asset in the real estate business.
With his day-in and day-out canvassing, which includes talking with tenants, supers and landlords, Hiro is considered the “Investigative Reporter” of Manhattan’s Commercial Real Estate. These activities enable Hiro to quickly identify the newest spaces before they hit the market, a tremendous asset for his clients in finding their perfect fit.
Hiro is also an excellent Argentine Tango dancer. He has taught and performed in the US and Japan, as well as appeared on Japanese national TV shows.
